Ricky and Amy are best friends. Probably because everyone else is a little bit afraid of them. Spend some time with Ricky and Amy in these five short stories which may actually be appropriate for some children. I don't know. You decide.
The NonAdventures of Ricky and Amy Stories Appropriate for Children I Think Olivia Bergin Books
"The Non-Adventures of Ricky and Amy: Stories Appropriate for Children" by Olivia Bergin is... well, I'm not sure WHAT it is! It is clearly a brief period of time spent with two children who bring "wild, weird, and wacky" to new heights. These two children, Ricky and Amy, are best friends who have been virtually joined at the hip. Their conversations consist of rapid-fire playful insults and snappy comebacks. They are constantly planning one caper or another, most of which (fortunately) they never carry through. When they DO carry through with a plan, anything could happen; just ask Hooper the toad, may he rest in pieces. Their various capers are presented as individual short stories, but all are connected by sharing the same characters.I actually got a kick out of this oddball story and all the oddball characters who were a part of it. I think the author's sub-title is correct: these stories are appropriate for children. I'm not sure I'd want to be around the children for whom these stories are appropriate, but they're appropriate nonetheless. The two featured children are the best of friends, who can share any thought or confess any action without fear of being abandoned. They share the sort of friendship few people ever actually experience, and I believe they would do anything for each other.
Definitely not a run-of-the-mill children's book, this book is one I think most kids would thoroughly enjoy. It would be especially ideal for the reluctant reader, whom I expect would be giggling the entire time. I can readily imagine: "Hey, Mom, listen to this..." as your reluctant reader comes running into the room to share with you something he/she just read. I really do have to recommend this book for children and/or their parents. I'd also recommend you keep your eyes open for more stories by Olivia Bergin, because she has nailed a formula that most kids will gobble up.

The NonAdventures of Ricky and Amy Stories Appropriate for Children I Think Olivia Bergin Books Reviews
Very enjoyable read - well-written and just plain funny. I want to read more of these two kids!
I really enjoyed these 5 short but not so sweet stories. The bizarre and peculiar certainly runs in the Bergin family. I hope to read many more stories from them in the future.
This book is ok. The stories are kind of good, but they aren't really interesting. Although they are non-adventures. Get it if you have
I loved this book. Can't wait for more. My kind of humor.
